Responsibilities for the Process Engineer
Maintains active awareness of new applicable technological developments in the field
Utilizes Tollgate process to lead the design and launch of new products and processes.
Develops performance specifications for new products and processes.
Performs project justification, including savings and benefit analysis and return on investment.
Performs product testing and process capability analysis.
Implements mistake-proofing concepts into process designs to prevent defects.
Develops standard work and best practice for all aspects of position.
Participates in and leads continuous improvement events.
Requirements for the Process Engineer
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or Technology or equivalent experience.
0-1+ years experience developing products and processes in a continuous process environment. Experience designing and troubleshooting equipment preferred
Converting, rewinding, slitting experience desired. Will also consider coating and adhesive experience.
Experience troubleshooting and improving processes in a converting environment.
Experience designing and troubleshooting equipment
Working knowledge of Lean Tools, ie. 5S, Kaizen
